Faces of Compassion - Spring Practice Period 2025
Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva
The Heart of Compassion
Dharma Talk by Nanda Nina Lynch
Saturday, April 26th
9:00 am - 11:00 am ET (New York)
Online
Join us for the fourth of the seven bodhisattva archetypes from Taigen Dan Leighton’s Faces of Compassion. This session explores Avalokiteshvara as a Bodhisattva archetype. Perhaps the most popular Bodhisattva, AVelokiteshvara, or Guanyin or Kannon assumes many different forms through East Asian Buddhism. Appearing as male, female or general neutral, they embody the highest forms of compassion, expressing the gentle, responsive, and helpful sides of the Bodhisattva archetypes.
Share with the sangha as we listen to the reflections of senior dharma teacher Nanda Nina Lynch, followed by question and response. After a short break you are invited to our weekly morning service and zazen practice.
The Spring Practice Period is open to anyone.
There is no fee for this event. A donation requested.
