Eight Brocades Qigong

with Jozen Jonathan Fielder

Eight Week Online Program

March 30th - May 16th, 2024

Saturdays 12:00 Noon pm ET - 1:00 pm ET (New York)

Course Outline

The Eight Brocades qigong set, also referred to as Eight Pieces of Brocade Qigong (Ba Duan Jin Qigong) originates from the Song Dynasty in China. Consisting of eight individual exercises, these gentle stretches and breathing techniques can stimulate your immune system, strengthen your internal organs, and increase your energy levels. Often referred to as meditation in motion, these fluid movements will also help you with your meditation practice.

Over this eight week course, you will be introduced to the eight individual exercises sequentially, gradually building your practice of the entire set. Correct warm up and cool down exercises will be taught, as well as how to adapt the eight brocades appropriately for any injuries or physical limitations.

We will also study the microcosmic orbit and the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and examine how each exercise of the set affects a specific meridian.
