We will never share your information with third parties without your permission.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation two weeks or more prior to the program start date, either:
Receive a 90% refund, or
Transfer your full amount to another retreat.
This credit is valid for one year from the date of the retreat.
Cancellation within two weeks prior to the program start date, either:
A 50% refund, or
Transfer your paid amount, minus a $50 processing fee, to any other retreat.
This credit is valid for one year from the date of the retreat.
Cancellation the day of the program, or you do not show up at the site, or you leave during the retreat:
No refund or credit will be given.
Your fee will be considered a charitable donation to be used to support financial assistance for others to attend Shining Bright Lotus programs.
Terms and Conditions
By registering for programs at Shining Bright Lotus, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Audio and Video Release. For the valuable consideration of participating in this program, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I grant Shining Bright Lotus and its designees the right to use my voice and/or likeness and my name as embodied in the recordings whether recorded on or transferred to video, film, audio, or other media, now known or later developed. Shining Bright Lotus shall have complete ownership of the recordings in which my voice and/or likeness appears, including copyright interests, and I acknowledge that I have no interest or ownership in the recordings or their copyright.
a. Use & Exclusions. I recognize that for the most part these recordings only be utilized appropriately and will only be shared with the consent of Shining Bright Lotus. But I acknowledge that it may be appropriate to share certain excerpts or clips more widely, so I grant Shining Bright Lotus the right to broadcast, exhibit, market, and otherwise distribute the recordings, either in whole or in part, and either alone or with other products, for any commercial or non-commercial purposes that Shining Bright Lotus in its sole discretion may determine.
b. Rights. I confirm that I have the right to enter into this Agreement, that I am not restricted by any commitments to other parties, and that Shining Bright Lotus has no financial commitment or obligations to me as a result of this Agreement. The rights granted Shining Bright Lotus herein are perpetual and worldwide.
2. Risks and Waiver of Liability. I understand there are risks involved with participating in any truly transformational program. I understand that I am participating in programs at Shining Bright Lotus, online or live. I recognize that these programs include psychological, social and spiritual exercises that might be strenuous, stressful, and trigger physical, mental, psychological, and spiritual reactions.
I am fully aware of the risks and potential hazards involved in participating in such transformative work. I understand that educational activities at Shining Bright Lotus may release strong emotions and disorienting experiences, and I accept this possibility and the results of such emotional releases and disorientation. Although I appreciate that spiritual leadership at Shining Bright Lotus and all parties connected with it will endeavor to serve as well as possible, I acknowledge there are risks involved in my participation that Shining Bright Lotus and its principals cannot fully eliminate.
a. I accept and assume risks. I acknowledge that should a conflict of interest arise it is my responsibility to report this to the leadership. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my welfare. In consideration for being permitted to participate in programs at Shining Bright Lotus, I agree to assume full responsibility for all risks, injuries or damages, both known and unknown, that, though unlikely, might occur from my participating in such activities.
b. I understand that Shining Bright Lotus provides a means for me to seek support and provide feedback should I find myself in need of support. It is my responsibility to initiate this support.
c. LIABILITY WAIVER AND COST INDEMNIFICATION: Because I acknowledge and assume full responsibility for my own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being, I agree to waive all claims of liability and any lawsuit or other proceeding alleging injury to my person or property connected with my participation in programs at Shining Bright Lotus. The intended beneficiaries of this waiver include all staff at Shining Bright lotus.
d. Release and waiver is as broad as possible. I agree that this release and waiver will be interpreted as broadly as the law allows, and that if part of this waiver is deemed invalid then the balance shall remain in effect.
e. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of New York. In the event of a legal dispute arising out of the enforcement or interpretation of this agreement the prevailing party shall be entitled to an award of attorney fees and costs.
